Where and how it is used

The Aqualite FERRUM20BB cartridge is installed in 20" Big Blue housings after a mechanical pre-filter. It is used for water from wells, boreholes, or municipal sources with elevated iron content. Suitable for private houses, cottages, hotels, and small businesses where pre-treatment of water is required before purification systems or household appliances. After filtration, water becomes clear, leaves no rust stains, and protects plumbing and heating elements from damage.

Maintenance

The cartridge should be replaced every 3–6 months or sooner if the water turns yellowish or develops a metallic taste again. It should not be washed or regenerated, as the active mixture gradually loses effectiveness.
