Aqualite Centaur GAC-CAT Hydrogen Sulfide Removal Cartridge is designed for efficient purification of water with an unpleasant “rotten egg” odor caused by hydrogen sulfide. It contains Centaur Catalytic activated carbon — a special catalytic sorbent that not only adsorbs but also oxidizes hydrogen sulfide, converting it into harmless compounds. The cartridge also improves the taste and smell of water while removing residual chlorine, organic substances, and volatile compounds.

Where and how it is used
The Aqualite Centaur GAC-CAT cartridge is installed in 20" Big Blue housings as the second or third filtration stage. It is effective for water from wells or boreholes that has a noticeable hydrogen sulfide odor or sulfur taste. Ideal for private homes, cottages, and food service establishments that require high-quality filtration without chemicals. After treatment, water becomes clear, odorless, pleasant-tasting, and safer for consumption.
Maintenance
The cartridge should be replaced every 6–9 months or after its capacity is reached. It cannot be regenerated or washed, as the activated carbon gradually loses its catalytic properties. For stable system performance, use only original Aqualite cartridges — they ensure long-lasting and effective hydrogen sulfide removal even at higher impurity concentrations.
